Flexible schedules
Students often wonder whether they can continue to work while attending adult education programs. This is especially true if they have unpredictable work schedules. At our Moorhead campus, we offer part-time, full-time and evening programs that allow students to fit education and training into their busy lives.
Online college
A great option for adult students is to take college courses online. The online division of MSB offers many programs fully online. And even when a program is not fully online, adult education students can complete many required classes through distance learning and take the remainder of the coursework through our online division. In addition to enjoying the flexibility offered by online college, students may save time and money on commuting, childcare and gas.
Credit for prior learning and work experience
Many adult learners are returning students who have already completed some college. At MSB-Moorhead, we offer eligible students the option of receiving credit for their prior learning. They may also seek credit for their work experience, depending on its relevance to their college degrees. Students who receive college credit through this program can save money on tuition, as we do not charge for credits awarded at other colleges or for appropriate work experience. Please contact your campus dean about the process of applying for credit.

Career services
Many of our adult education students are single parents who have been out of the workforce for several years. They are often concerned that they will not be able to find employment, even after completing a college degree. Our Career Services Department provides the support that students need during their job searches. From resume workshops to job leads to hints about networking, our staff helps students find employment that gets them started on great careers.
